What’s up Guys!

Another beautiful day here in Paradise. I recently got a great comment from a reader who asked me – how do you stay productive while living on the road? I must admit this is something I still struggle with. This isn’t small town USA…

At any time of the day I can go party, hit the bars and get drunk. Or ride my motorbike all around the city then relax on the beach. I can troll Asian Dating to find new girls. I can hire a $20 hooker, hog tie her in my apartment and drill her in every hole. The options are endless! 😀

If you want to be an internet entrepreneur you will need intense discipline and self control. It’s not for everybody, that’s for sure. I highly recommend you read  “The Power of Self Discipline” by Brian Tracy. It’s one of the best books on being a more productive and successful man. All of his books are great so if you want to invest in yourself, reading those books would be an excellent place to start.

Some people need the structure of a job. You know, set work hours and a boss to keep them in line. A guaranteed paycheck every week. Someone else is responsible for steering the ship. You just have to play your part.

Hey, I totally understand that. Most of my friends have zero interest in business. They just want to work, collect their check and enjoy their free time.

As an entrepreneur, everything depends on you. If you don’t work, you don’t make money. Nobody is looking over your shoulder and telling you to get back to work. It’s a lifestyle that some people can’t handle.

You can do whatever the fuck you want! Until your money runs out of course… And yes, that does happen to a lot of guys in Asia.

Some people don’t have what it takes to work for themselves. It’s not easy! And trust me, it’s even harder to focus when you’re constantly traveling and surrounded by so many distractions.

In “The Four Hour Work Week” by Tim Ferriss, he advises building your business up to the point where it makes passive income, THEN go travel the world… I did it ass backwards and it’s been stressful at times.

When a nineteen year old Asian slut wakes up next to you and asks “can we go to the beach today?” It’s hard to say no… But it’s necessary to balance work and play.

There’s a lot of great reasons to live in Asia while working online. Cost of living is low. I don’t cook, clean or do laundry. I have much more time on on my hands to work on different projects. The downside is, there are so many fun things to do! You can really go nuts out here if you have no self control.

Can you walk all the way down Soi Nana in Bangkok, past all the bars and screaming ladies, and NOT go inside a bar??? Just go back to your room and work all night??? It’s like sitting a plate of food in front of a starving dog.

When I travel to a new city, do you think I want to sit in my hotel room alone and crack open my laptop? FUCK NO! I want to hit the streets and explore! I want to meet all the cuties I talked to online before coming to town! I want to grab a bowl of noodles and some ice cold beers while I watch the world go by! But it’s important to remind myself, work comes before play. “We do what we have to do, so we can do what we want to do.”

Staying Productive As A Digital Nomad

Here it is gentlemen. I’m no master of productivity. I still fuck off a lot when I know I should be working… But here are five tips that keep me earning cash and making forward progress on my business goals.

1. Write A To Do List

These days, all of my information is stored digitally. The only exception is a notebook and a pen that I use to write my daily to do list. I find it extremely satisfying to accomplish a task and cross it off my list. Here’s a few tips for making this strategy work for you.

Write your to do list the night before.

This is absolutely critical. DO NOT wake up in the morning with a foggy head and try to figure out what you want to accomplish that day. If you’re like me, you will end up fucking around online until late afternoon and wasting half of the day.

You need to plan your day like a military strategist. This usually takes me a solid thirty minutes each night as I carefully write my to do list. I want it to be perfect so the next day I don’t have to think about it.

I have several lists. One is Yearly Goals. The other is my To Do List. This is everything I need to do that will allow me to reach my Yearly Goals.

I review this list every night and write the most urgent tasks on my “Daily To Do List.” I will often plan the most mundane details down to the exact minute. For example, here’s today’s list:

7-8 Wake Up, Shower, Eat

8-12 Write one new blog post / Answer comments and emails

12-1 Eat lunch, take a walk.

1-5 WRITE!

5-7 Gym, Shower, Eat

7-8 Read

8-12 Drink Beer, Eat Seafood / Cream Pie Asian Slut

There’s a glimpse into my exciting life. 😀 Every day is different and I often experiment with different work schedules. Sometimes I have fun all day and then work all night. Still trying to find my best work flow.

Just be realistic with yourself. Don’t put so much shit on your list that you’re overwhelmed and you rush things. Put a reasonable amount of tasks on the list and do a good job on them.

The point of the list is I don’t have to think about what I’m going to do next. I just glance at the list and DO IT! If you don’t have things planned out it’s easy to procrastinate and waste time. Just execute. Do it and scratch it off the list!

Prioritizing Tasks

Brian Tracy wrote a great book called Eat That Frog. I suggest you download a copy on Kindle and read it for yourself. It’s a great book about staying productive.

In summary, he’s saying to do the most difficult task first. “Eat The Frog” and get it out of the way. Then the rest of your day is smooth sailing!

I agree with this. However, I also like to “smash smaller tasks.” If something takes less then ten minutes, just do it now! Sometimes I’ll write something stupid on my list like “email mom.” I immediately say WTF I can do that now real quick. Don’t clutter up your list with bullshit.

2. Turn Your Phone Off

This is a big one. Since I’m a sex addict and a womanizer my phone is constantly buzzing with text messages from young hotties. 😉 Many of these girls have absolutely nothing going on and they want to hang out at all hours of the day.

I often cave in to their requests too… If a cute chick wants to come visit me, of course I say yes… Then we have sex… Then I’m stuck with her for the rest of the day! Sure that’s fine if you want to lay in bed and watch movies or go sit at a cafe and have a mindless conversation… But I got shit to do!

I usually just cream pie the chick, throw a bowl of noodles down her throat, then drop her off at her parents shack. These girls are sweet… but I can’t have a girl looking over my shoulder all day while I’m trying to work. It’s way too distracting.

Facebook, emails, dating websites, line, viber, text messages. All of this shit is a tremendous distraction and waste of time. It all must be turned off during my “grind time.” Answering a text only takes a few seconds… Which adds up to minutes, then hours!

During blocks of work time my phone is OFF. I can finger fuck my iPhone while eating lunch or sitting on the shitter. Not while I’m trying to write a best selling novel. 😀

3. Drop Loads Early And Often

My sex drive is ridiculous and I think about tight Asian pussy 24/7. It’s even worse now that I’m back into bodybuilding… Holy fuck I walk around with boners that could dent a car door.

This often leads to a lot of time wasting behavior such as text messaging girls, trolling my favorite dating sites and looking at Facebook. The only cure for this is to bust a nut.

After I unload, my mind immediately goes back to thinking about my goals and other hobbies. There’s no reason to torture yourself when mongering is so cheap and convenient here. I already wrote a post called Why Banging Hookers Will Make You More Productive.

The reason is simple. I can text girls all day, arrange dates online and fantasize about licking a tight Asian teens asshole… Or I can just head over to a BJ bar and get sucked off real quick. I’m in and out within 20 minutes and back in front of my computer.

Heavy balls are distracting for a man’s mind. If you have pussy on the brain then grab a hooker for a morning session. In my mind, the money I paid is absolutely worth it because it leads to higher productivity for my work day! Well, that’s how I rationalize it anyways. 😀

4. Work Hard, Play Hard

“When you work, work. When you play, play. Don’t mix the two.” – Jim Rohn

The reason I came to Asia was to have fun and explore the world. I was very high strung when living in America and I still haven’t gotten over that completely. I work hard to accomplish my goals and when I experience a set back it’s very discouraging.

It’s all a part of the process. Just do your best and let shit go. You can’t succeed in every business, reach every goal or get every girl. As long as you have fun and grow in the process that’s all that matters.

I work hard… Most of the time. 😉 But I also take time out of every day to have some fun. Some people have this attitude of “Grind non stop 24/7! Sleep is for people who are weak! Broke people are partying while successful people are grinding all night!”

There’s some truth to that… A great work ethic and endless drive is necessary for success, but you need to have some balance. Sleep is extremely important.

You need 7-10 hours of sleep every night. Especially if you are trying to build muscle! Your mind and body needs time to repair and recharge.

I even take afternoon naps on many days. In America that is unheard of… But in many cultures it’s very common for everyone to stop work at lunch time and take a nap. Now I understand why! You come back from that short nap feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the second half of the day.

I like to work in short blocks of time. 1-3 hours is optimal. I focus 100% on the task for that block of time then take a break. Maybe take a walk, stretch, eat something, listen to music. Then go back at it for another block of time. That attitude of “non stop grind” is overrated and impractical in my experience. Work hard in short bursts and then take a short break.

Reward Yourself

Do something you enjoy every day. Get a massage, have a beer, watch your favorite TV show. If you kicked some ass today then treat yourself to something nice this evening.

It could be something as simple as going to buy a meal at your favorite restaurant and watching the game. Or it could be something more extravagant like booking your dream vacation to Thailand.

Sometimes I will call a girl and go out for drinks. Sometimes I just enjoy sitting at a café alone, drinking coffee and surfing the web on my iPhone… I’m serious, that makes me happy. 🙂

I will always put something fun at the end of my daily schedule. I see it down on the bottom of my list waiting for me… I know if I smash through this list I can get there.

Work your ass off! But be sure you enjoy the fruits of your labor. Life is too short to be walking around stressed out and over worked every day. Be a better friend to yourself.

5. Travel Slow

I always travel slow. I even wrote a blog post about this topic. I like to stay in one location for 1-3 months. Of course there’s always the short weekend trips or visa runs, but for the most part I try to have a “home base.”

I will rent an apartment. Join a gym. Learn my way around the city. Meet a couple nice girls and keep them on call. This allows me to settle in and establish some type of routine.

Moving through countries fast is a horrible idea for several reasons. It’s more expensive, stressful and of worst of all it’s time consuming! It’s hard to get any meaningful work done when you’re packing, booking plane / hotel tickets, catching flights and then getting settled into a new location.

The first time I visited Thailand I stayed for three months. I went everywhere and I did everything! I had a blast and every single moment of my trip was action packed. I didn’t even bring my laptop with me. I can’t imagine focusing on work while traveling like that. It was insane!

I’m not sure what the exact definition of a “nomad” is… I like to explore new countries but I don’t like living out of my suitcase. I like to get situated in one location for the duration of my visa, or until I get bored. I feel that’s a good work / life balance for me.

Live Your Dreams!

For some people, world travel is for holiday’s. It’s something they do in short bursts and then go home to recover, both physically and financially. However, if you have the discipline and the work ethic, you can travel indefinitely. The party never stops! But you must dedicate some time to building a successful life.

Do you have any tips for staying productive? Please comment below! I’m no expert on this topic but I am proud of how far I’ve come over the past few years. I feel like I’m finally in the zone and getting some serious work done. I wish you much success!
